It&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>the same grinder<\/strong>\u00a0as the\u00a0Turbo-Sharp V, however, it has an improved motor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=15_2118_605&amp;products_id=4932\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4213\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4213\" title=\"Turbo-Sharp X Handheld Tungsten Grinder\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Grinder-e1346454237271.jpg\" alt=\"Turbo-Sharp X Handheld Tungsten Grinder\" width=\"550\" height=\"191\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Turbo-Sharp tungsten grinder uses a professional grade motor making it a great unit for job sites and small shops.\u00a0Although it\u2019s a &#8216;Hand-Held&#8217; model, our testers found it unrealistic to hold the unit with one hand while rotating the electrode with the other.\u00a0 Thankfully, CK Worldwide has already addressed this issue by including a vice-mounting bracket as a standard accessory.\u00a0It is a fully enclosed grinder, and unlike the dust collection design of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=15_2118_1953&amp;products_id=9420\" target=\"_blank\">TechSouth\u00a0Powerpoint\u00a0DCS<\/a>, the\u00a0Turbo-Sharp X does a fantastic job of containing nearly all of the grinding dust.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Watch our video on the Turbo Sharp X Handheld Tungsten Grinder<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Turbo Sharp X Tungsten Grinder for TIG Welding: A Review\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s--3oq4L_Ws?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>CK Worldwide even went so far as to include a shop-vac attachment for cleaning the dust from the grinding chamber; this is safety at its best.\u00a0 The only other Hand-Held grinder that offers this level of safety is the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&amp;search_in_description=1&amp;keyword=Neutrix&amp;x=0&amp;y=0\" target=\"_blank\">Neutrix<\/a>.\u00a0On the side of the grinding chamber is the grinding head, which has ports for sizes .040\u201d to 1\/8\u201d. With the wrench included with the machine, it&#8217;s fairly easy to switch between sizes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gotta love the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=15_2118_605&amp;products_id=4936\" target=\"_blank\">the Red Head<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=15_2118_605&amp;products_id=4936\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4196\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4196\" title=\"Red Head for Electrode\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Red-Head-for-Electrode.jpeg\" alt=\"Red Head for Electrode\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Red-Head-for-Electrode.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Red-Head-for-Electrode-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Red-Head-for-Electrode-300x300.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A great side-kick to your Turbo-Sharp X is the (optional) Red Head that will handle 5\/32\u201d, 3\/16\u201d and 1\/4\u201d; this is the only hand-held that can grind electrodes that large! On the grinding head and next to the electrode ports, is a very simple degree scale. We wouldn&#8217;t call it &#8220;precision&#8221;, but our testers found it to be surprisingly accurate. \u00a0Because the grinding chamber is fully-enclosed, you can&#8217;t see how the electrode hits the wheel. Therefore, the degree scale makes it very easy to adjust the grind angle.\u00a0At the end of the grinding chamber, you&#8217;ll find the port for grinding a tip flat. The tip flat process is a bit awkward with this unit, but when grinding the tip flat, dust doesn&#8217;t escape from the chamber. The downside to being so effective at containing the grinding dust is that the Turbo-Sharp X cannot cut electrodes.\u00a0 However, for most of our testers that wasn&#8217;t a major problem, and they just had to remove the globs from the end of the electrodes before grinding.<\/p>\n<p>The accessories for this grinder are perhaps the most exciting feature!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arc-zone.com\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=15_2118_605&amp;products_id=4932\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4212\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4212\" title=\"Turbo-Sharp X Handheld Tungsten Grinder Case\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.arc-zone.com\/joewelder\/wp-content\/new_ups\/Case-e1346454210292.jpg\" alt=\"Turbo-Sharp X Handheld Tungsten Grinder Case\" width=\"550\" height=\"368\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The grinder itself comes in the above pictured case with all of the basic necessities for the grinder. Although we don&#8217;t like bringing metal cases into electrical work environments, the design on the interior keeps everything in place very well.
