FABTECH Welding Show Recap

The cool products and people you meet when attending trade shows

One of the things I like about attending the annual Fabtech show is the opportunity to find out about the latest and greatest welding products. This past show was no exception.  One of the most exciting developments in the welding industry in recent years has been the wireless foot pedal, and soon it will be available not just for Lincoln and Miller machines, but for all popular welding machines—and it’s a product that is made in the U.S.A.  Currently, the foot pedals run around $700, but we’re working on delivering a quality pedal, for a much friendlier price. We’ve got some great foot pedals for welding at Arc-Zone and other remote amperage controls, but just think–with wireless, no more dragging your a foot pedal and cable around the shop!

Here’s some info on Miller’s wireless foot pedal:

Another great thing about Fabtech is that I always meet up with old friends and meet new ones. This year I met up with Jesse S. of Raw Iron Choppers in Ohio and we went to the Fuller Hot Rods Open House.  Bryan Fuller has some SoCal roots: he worked for SoCal Speed before opening up his own shop.

Here’s some photos from the Open House–  Fuller’s Hot Rod shop is pretty amazing:

Wishing you all a very happy holiday season!  We’re looking forward to a joyful and prosperous 2015 for all of us!
