-PRODUCT-
Today we are reviewing the Neutrix Handheld Tungsten Grinder!
Overall, the Neutrix handheld tungsten grinder is an extremely easy grinder to operate. The port for the grinding wand loosens and slides in order to adjust the grind angle which can be read on a very accurate degree scale. This is one of the few tungsten grinders on the market that can truly grind the full spectrum of angles: from 0-90 degrees (90 degrees being the tip-flat). Because the Neutrix has a fully enclosed grinding chamber, it can’t do electrode cutting. However, this wasn’t an issue for our testers because the entry port to the grinding chamber is very large. This allows the operator to grind the globs off of used electrodes rather than cutting them off. Also, it is easy to monitor the progress of the grind due to the fact that the grinding chamber is clear.

-ACCESSORIES-
Because of its larger size, the bench mounting bracket will be the Neutrix’ best friend.
Also, the collet threads into the grinding wand which determines what diameter electrode to be ground. The bench mounting bracket along with the .040” and 5/32” collets are included in the Pro-Kit upgrade.
-SAFETY-
The Neutrix handheld tungsten grinder ranked well in terms of safety. It has a fully enclosed grinding chamber with a cassette filter to collect the grinding dust. While our testers weren’t overly impressed with the performance of the filter cassette, there is little or no exposure to grinding dust. Similar to the Turbo Sharp X and the Triad, the Neutrix comes with a very impressive case that houses all of its basic accessories. The main difference is that the Neutrix case is plastic instead of metal. This is a big plus while working around open current but on the other hand, it’s not quite as durable as the steel cases.
