Optrel Welding Helmets featuring Crystal Lens technology & True-View

Times are changing and so are the options in our store. We’ve enhanced our welding helmet line to include Optrel Welding Helmets featuring groundbreaking Crystal Lens Technology and True-Color View!!

The Opulence of Optrel Welding Helmets

Why does it matter what welding helmet you choose?

From comfortability, lens switching speed, fixed or variable shades and battery life, there are a multitude of variables that can determine which welding helmet is the right fit for you.

Do you need a welding helmet with a grinding mode so you don’t have to change face shields every minute? Have you considered a lens that automatically senses the welding arc?

Check out some of the standout characteristics of the Optrel Panoramaxx CLT, Optrel Crystal 2.0, Optrel Vegaview 2.5 welding helmets:

Scientifically Developed Welding Helmet Technology

With welding technology advancing nearly every year, some of the biggest brands in the metal working industry have worked endlessly to adapt to the current conditions and improve the technology of their machines, consumables and even their apparel.

Brands like Optrel provide innovative welding products that get the job done when you need it and this line of Optrel welding helmets do not disappoint.

Crystal Lens Technology

The Crystal Lens Technology offered in Panoramaxx CLT and Crystal 2.0 Optrel welding helmets provides welders with the clearest view before striking an arc.

With older welding helmets, the view from your lens is limited. You only have 5% of light transmission which makes it a little bit difficult to place your hands before beginning to weld. You have to keep your hood up, position your torch and TIG filler rod then give the ol’ head nod to set your helmet down over your eyes.

But with the Optrel Crystal Lens Technology, your lens is completely clear. This revolutionary technology allows for 31% light transmission creating a virtually unclouded and clear view of your work environment.

According to Optrel, “Welders can see the joining process as it actually takes place. How the weld pool melts, how the weld seam is created. You can see how the filler material is immersed in the welding pool and gain complete control over your work. Saving you time and preventing costly mistakes.”

True-Color View

After researching Optrel’s True-Color view in-depth, we’ve determined that True-Color View is exactly what you would think.

Rather than one of those green tinted lenses that seem more like night-vision than anything, the Optrel True-Color View, featured on the Optrel Panoramaxx CLT, Optrel Crystal 2.0 and Optrel Vegaview 2.5 welding helmets, is a crystal clear lens that provides no distortion to the colors you see while welding.

Optrel says, “The color perception in light state is almost like looking through clear window glass and in dark mode you enjoy a detailed and high-contrast view of the welding pool with a never-seen-before clearness.”

ShadeTronic®

The ShadeTronic® feature of the Optrel Panoramaxx CLT and Optrel Crystal 2.0 welding helmets “automatically adapts to changing light conditions of the welding arc.”

FadeTronic®

Available on the Optrel Crystal 2.0 and Optrel Panoramaxx CLT welding helmets, the FadeTronic® feature allows the anti-glare display to “be continuously adjusted after welding to significantly reduce eye fatigue.”

Delay Function

The delay function on the Vegaview 2.5 and Panoramaxx CLT Optrel welding helmets allows for “infinite adjustment from dark to light between 0.05 to 1.0 s.”

Sensitivity Regulation

All three Optrel welding helmets, the Crystal 2.0, Panoramaxx CLT and Vegaview 2.5 feature a sensitivity regulation which “adapts the helmet to your environment and requirements.”

External Operability

With the Optrel Crystal 2.0 and Optrel Vegaview 2.5’s external operability, you can “toggle grind mode and shade level adjustments without removing your helmet.”

Sensor Slider

Sensor Slider on Optrel Welding Helmets

According to Optrel, “The sensor slide can be set to two different positions. Depending on the position, the angle for detecting ambient light is reduced or increased.” This feature can be found on the Vegaview 2.5 and Crystal 2.0 Optrel welding helmets.

5-Point Detection

Available only on the Optrel Panoramaxx CLT, the 5-point detection is an “intelligent five-sensor control to adjust shade levels even in the most difficult lighting conditions.”

Twilight Effect

The twilight effect, available on the Crystal 2.0 and Panoramaxx CLT Optrel welding helmets, provides a “smooth transition from dark to light offers even better protection of the eyes to prevent fatigue and irritation caused by afterglow from objects; it gives the eyes the time they need to acclimatize to the brightness.”

Grinding Mode

Grind Mode on Optrel Welding Helmets

All three of the Optrel welding helmets to join Arc-Zone®’s lineup include the grinding mode. “In this mode, the cassette is deactivated and remains in light mode for 10 minutes. Active grinding mode is indicated by the blue LED flashing from the outside and by the reflection of the helmet’s front cover lens on the inside.”

Heat-Reflecting Paint

To top off all the cool features on the new Optrel welding helmets, we found that the Optrel Crystal 2.0 helmet features heat-reflecting paint which helps “you keep a cool head at all times.”

This Is Your Moment

You’ve waited long enough for Arc-Zone.com® to update our welding helmet section and now you’ve got an important decision to make.

Which one of these technologically advanced Optrel welding helmets do you go with? The heat-reflecting paint of the Optrel Crystal 2.0? The 5-point detection on the Optrel Panoramaxx CLT? Or the external operability of the Optrel Vegaview 2.5?

No matter which Optrel welding helmet you choose, they are built to rigorous standards and will never let you down.
